The former Hollywood heavyweight remains mired in a blizzard of accusations of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape.

The claims against him are being investigated.

Thurman also took aim at his "wicked conspirators", in tune with claims that many figures in Hollywood knew of Weinstein's alleged actions for years.

She signed off with a mysterious admonition to "stay tuned".

Thurman is a frequent collaborator of director Quentin Tarantino, whose films have frequently been produced by Weinstein's Miramax company.

The picture accompanying the post is from one of those films, Kill Bill: Volume II, starring Thurman's vengeance-driven character Beatrix Kiddo.

Tarantino has previously condemned Weinstein, following his accusers' emergence into the public eye.

Thurman recently said in an interview she felt too "angry" to speak about the scandal, and wanted to wait until she felt able to express herself clearly.
