Two wanted after NSW hotel armed robbery

A barmaid, a pub manager and patrons have been terrorised by two men armed with a firearm and a machete during a robbery at a pub in Sydney's south.

Two armed men entered the hotel on Pitt Street in Mortdale at about 11.10pm on Monday and threatened the barmaid with the firearm and demanded cash from the till.

One of the men, who was armed with the machete, approached the manager of the hotel and demanded cash from the safe.

Both staff members handed over cash before the men ran from the hotel and escaped in a black Toyota RAV 4 that was last seen heading towards Boundary Road.

The two staff members and the patrons that were inside the hotel at the time of the robbery were not hurt.
