Two teenagers have been taken to hospital after being stabbed during an altercation at a party in Sydney's west.

Emergency services were called to the home on Carroll Crescent at Plumpton at about 12.40am today to find a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds in the hands, arms and legs.

The pair are believed to have been stabbed by another man, who then fled the scene.

They were treated by ambulance paramedics then taken to the Childrens Hospital at Westmead.

Their injuries are not considered life threatening.

The attack is reported to have been sparked after a group of uninvited guests arrived at the party.

The guests also reportedly caused thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to the home prior to their departure.

Witnesses say alcohol was a contributing factor.
