Two people burnt after gas explosion at Sydney restaurant

Two people are in hospital with serious burn injuries after a gas explosion at a Chinese restaurant in Sydney.
Authorities were called just after 6pm to the restaurant on Lachlan St in Waterloo.
Vision obtained by 9NEWS shows the moment the reported explosion occurred.

A 29-year-old man was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition with face and arm burns.
A 35-year-old male taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition also with burns to his arm and face.
Fire crews are still trying to determine the cause of the explosion.
