Two men wanted over alleged abduction attempt of young boy in Melbourne

Police are investigating after two men approached a young boy in a Melbourne park last month and tried to grab him.

Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was walking alone in parkland adjacent to The Esplanade at Berwick Springs Reserve in Narre Warren on July 17 when a man got out of the passenger seat of a car and tried to grab him.

Police say the man tried to pull the boy towards the car and said “you’re coming with me”.

The boy was able to break free from the man, kicking him in the shin and running away.

The man who approached the boy is described by police as having a solid build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a black zip-up hooded top, black jeans and black gloves.

The man driving the car is described as being aged between 70 and 80, with long greying hair and a beard. He was wearing a black zip-up jumper with a Harley Davidson emblem

The two men were driving a 1990s model white Holden Commodore sedan with black rims.
