Two men shot during targeted robbery in Brisbane home

Two men have been taken to hospital with gunshot wounds after three masked men forced their way into a Brisbane home.

Queensland Police say the trio armed with baseball bats stormed into a home on Murarrie Road in Murarrie around 3.40am today and demanded cash. 

A 41-year-old man was shot in the left leg above the knee, while a 61-year-old man was shot in the shoulder after coming to his aid while armed with a shovel.

Police believe the attack was targeted, with the alleged offenders making specific demands to the victims.

The two wounded men were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. They are set to undergo surgery today.

The offenders fled before police arrived.
