Two men break into Sydney home with bat and wrench in targeted attack

Two men are on the run this morning after breaking into a north Sydney home with a bat and wrench and assaulting two people.

Police were called to a unit on Mowbray Road in Lane Cove North about 11.40pm last night following reports of a break-in.

Two men were found at the scene with leg injuries and were treated by paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore hospital for treatment.

No property was stolen and police believe the attack was targeted.
