Two Hells Angels gang members charged over alleged shooting

Two members of an outlaw motorcycle gang have been charged in connection with an alleged shooting in Sydney's east last month.

Seven shots rang out from Gregory Street at South Coogee, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, on Saturday May 27.

It's understood that shots were fired into a unit from the street.

There were no reports of any injuries following the alleged shooting.

Police arrested a 41-year-old man, from Campbelltown in Sydney's south-west on June 2 after obtaining a search warrant.

Police allege a semi-automatic high-powered rifle fitted with a scope was found at the property with a significant quantity of drugs.

The man was charged with shooting a firearm at a house with disregard for safety and not disclosing the identity of the alleged getaway driver.

He was refused bail and will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on June 6.

A second man, 31, was arrested at Wauchope Crescent, South Coogee on June 2.

Police allege the two men were part of the Hells Angels OMCG motorcycle gang.

He was arrested and charged with shooting a firearm at a dwelling/house with disregard for safety.

The man was also refused bail will appear in Waverley Local Court on June 7.
