Two dead, one critical after collision on Victorian highway

A man and woman have died in a horror crash on the Princes Highway at East Gippsland this afternoon.
Police said a red sedan was driving east along the highway at WT Creek, near Orbost, when it collided head-on with a silver 4WD travelling in the opposite direction about 2.15pm.
The sedan’s driver, a woman yet to be identified, died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the man behind the wheel of the 4WD died after being trapped in the vehicle with his female passenger for “some time”, police said
The surviving woman has been airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are now underway.
Motorists are advised that closures are currently in place along the Princes Highway, with eastbound traffic being diverted along Simpsons Creek Road and westbound traffic along Orbost-Buchan Road.
