Tributes flow for Sydney teen killed in motorbike crash

Tributes have flowed for a Sydney teenager killed in a motorcycle accident overnight, after his bike smashed into a car.

Bilal El Jaba-khanji, 16, died after the collision with a silver Toyota Echo on Marion Street, Bankstown, about 11.30pm.

Police believe he was riding unlicensed on a Kawasaki motorcycle when the car crossed into his lane.

Known as “Little Billy” by his family, he was well known to customers of Sydney Wings and Things, a popular Bankstown chicken shop where he had worked since he was 13.

Today the shop was closed as friends and family reel from the tragedy.

“Everyone who would walk into the shop would know him by name and talk to him, and would always want to place their orders with him, rather than the other workers,” one family member said.

Police are still investigating the incident.
