Three injured in Victorian minibus crash

Three people have been injured, one of them seriously, after a minibus crashed into a fence and two parked cars in Tooradin, southeast of Melbourne.

Police believe the minibus was travelling along South Gippsland Road when the 79-year-old male driver lost control at about 2.50pm.

The elderly man and his wife, aged in her 80s, were initially trapped at the front of the vehicle but were eventually freed by emergency service workers.

Their 50-year-old daughter had been sitting behind them in the minibus and suffered minor injuries.

She was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

The couple was taken to hospital by helicopter, both initially suffering life-threatening injuries.

The elderly man is now in a stable condition while his wife remains in a serious condition.
