Two charged over public place shooting in Sydney

A major police operation ended with four people arrested and two charged after a public place shooting in western Sydney.

A strike force investigating drug supply and organised crime in Sydney's north-west became aware of the shooting on East Lane, St Marys, on Friday January 3.

No injuries were reported.

At about 2.30pm on Monday, investigators and tactical operations officers stopped a car on Alpha Street, Blacktown.

Four men, aged 23, 25, 25, and 20, were arrested.

One of the 25-year-olds and the 20-year-old were later released without charge.

Police also executed multiple search warrants at homes in Jordan Springs, where they allegedly seized 244 grams of meth, electronic devices, and clothing.

The 23-year-old man was charged with firearm and drug offences.

The second 25-year-old man was charged with shooting a gun with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Both were refused bail and appeared in court yesterday.
