Two boys assisting inquiries after Far North Queensland bottlo held up with cane knife

Two teenage boy are assisting Queensland police after a drive-through bottle shop was held up in the Far North Queensland town of Innisfail last night.

Police allege two boys entered the Edith Street bottle shop and threatened two male shop assistants with a cane knife.

The pair demanded staff hand over alcohol before fleeing the shop with several bottles of spirits.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are now speaking with two boys, aged 15 and 16, in relation to the incident and several other thefts across the Far North region.
