Turnbull running 'dinner party': Shorten

Malcolm Turnbull is treating government like a dinner party, says Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.

Mr Turnbull has said that "everything is on the table" in the discussion on tax and economic reform, but Mr Shorten says it's time the government tells people what it plans to do.

"Government isn't like running a dinner party - you owe it to the people who pay your wages to spell out what you're doing," Mr Shorten told reporters in Canberra.
