Turnbull remains in front on Twitter

Twitter is still talking Turnbull as the prime minister remains the most mentioned leader on Twitter.

Between Malcolm Turnbull, Bill Shorten and Greens leader Richard Di Natale, Mr Turnbull claimed about 57 per cent of mentions - down about two per cent from last week.

Mr Shorten took most of that drop, now making up a third of leader mentions.

The statistics released by Twitter also show Auspol has climbed to the third biggest political hashtag worldwide with more than 163 million views since the double dissolution trigger.

THE CAMPAIGN'S MOST MENTIONED ON TWITTER:

* Leaders: Mr Turnbull 57 pct down 1.6 pct, Mr Shorten 33 pct up 1.9 pct, Senator Di Natale 10 pct down 0.3 pct

* #Auspol viewed 163 million times since April 18

* On May 13: Labor 57 pct, Liberals 43 pct
