Labor MP Nick Champion believes the Turnbull government's love of rhetoric is making question time look like something out of ancient Rome.
"The prime minster is giving us a sort of Roman senator voice every time," Mr Champion told reporters in Canberra on Wednesday.
"Innovation has been for this government a rhetorical device."
