Woman in hospital after being ‘stabbed by boyfriend high on ice’
A man allegedly high on ice and armed with a gun is accused of holding his girlfriend hostage and stabbing her in Melbourne.
The Critical Incident Response Team were called to Warwick Place, Tullamarine, around 8.30am to reports of a domestic violence situation.
Detectives allegedly found the 32-year-old woman being held hostage by the man before he released her.
She managed to walk down the street with serious arm injuries, before collapsing near an ambulance and being rushed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The man, aged 30, barricaded himself inside the property before he was finally arrested at 10.30am.
He is remains in custody and is yet to face charges.
Investigations are ongoing and ballistic experts are expected to analyse the scene
