Truss to attend Singapore celebrations

Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss is bound for Singapore to represent Australia during the island republic's 50th anniversary commemorations.

Mr Truss will lunch with President Tan Keng Yam, and meet with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Foreign Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam, while in the city state on Sunday.

He will also attend the national day parade.
