Truck rollover forces closure of Bruce Highway at Palmview

A serious truck rollover has forced the closure of the Bruce Highway in both directions at Palmview on the Sunshine Coast.

The truck was travelling southbound when it rolled on to the median strip just south of Pignata Road about 5.30am, initial police reports suggest.

Two people are being treated at the scene for unknown injuries, police said.

Traffic is being diverted southbound via Pignata Road and northbound via Frizzo Road.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area due to significant delays.
