Truck explodes in fireball in Sydney McDonald's drive-thru

A truck carrying gas cylinders has erupted in flames in a McDonald's drive-thru in Sydney's west overnight.

The explosion happened at the Kings Park fast food shop about 1am.

The truck was carrying gas cylinders, and the blaze sparked the evacuation of the shop.

Eight staff members were working at the time.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
