Police hunt for men after triple stabbing

Three young men are in hospital after they were stabbed during a fracas in Sydney's southwest.

Police say a group of men were standing outside a house at Guildford at 9pm (AEDT) on Wednesday when they were approached by a 20-year-old man.

The group assaulted the man and stabbed him, before turning on two other men, aged 22 and 24, who came to the victim's aid, police said.

The three were taken to Westmead Hospital where they remain in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for public assistance in finding the group.

A crime scene has been established.
