Tributes flow for 'beautiful' four-year-old twins killed in house fire near Byron Bay
The mother of identical twin girls who were tragically killed in a house fire near Byron Bay on Sunday has taken to social media to share her sorrow.
"Words cannot express waking up to Day 3 of these beautiful bunnikins not here...no more mumma...no more hands...no more smiles," Akira Garton wrote.
Her four-year-old daughters, Ophelia and Tarrow, were unable to be revived when police arrived to fire at the property where they were sleeping just after 4am on Sunday.

A burnt piano is at the centre of the police investigation, with suggestions a lit candle may have caused it to smoulder, creating toxic smoke where the girls were asleep.
Superintendent Dave Roptell from Tweed Byron Police said the incident was "just a tragic set of circumstances".
"It's unbelievably devastating to see not only two young people die, but two four-year-old females," he said.
