An incident in which a drone injured a triathlete in Western Australia's Mid West region has been referred to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP).
A competitor at the Endure Batavia Triathlon in Geraldton in April was struck on the head by a drone that was filming the event.
The Civil Aviation and Safety Authority has investigated the matter and has sent a brief to the CDPP.
