Man lucky to be alive after car collides with train
An elderly driver is lucky to be alive after colliding with a train overnight.
The 76-year-old man was travelling along Bell St, in Coburg, when he somehow drove around boom gates.
A train was departing Coburg station at the same time and crashed into the man's white hatch, pushing it along the tracks.

Despite the severe impact, the man behind the wheel sustained only minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
