Sydney traffic jumper slams into parked cars
A Sydney driver has driven straight into the rear end of a parked car while attempting to overtake up to five vehicles at a set of traffic lights in Auburn.
Dashcam video shows the white hatchback pull into the empty left lane and quickly pass the vehicles in front.
But the traffic-dodging tactic comes unstuck when the driver slams into the back of a van parked on the opposite side of the intersection.
The footage was posted online by Dash Cam Owners Australia and has so far garnered over 68,000 views.
Comments on the social media post have been largely critical of the driver, with some suggesting they got what they deserved.
“That’s what you get for trying to be a sneaky c---“ Justin Talbot commented.
A post from Paul Thompson read “you can clearly see that he wasn’t going to be able to cut in front of the other car, why is everybody in such a bloody rush?”
And Craig Best offered some sound, if not slightly late, advice for the driver in question; “it’s a great feeling when you pull it off… just make sure there are no parked cars in your way”.
