Traffic controller at Melbourne COVID-19 testing site hit by car
Police are investigating after a traffic controller at a coronavirus testing site in Melbourne's south-east was struck by a car yesterday.
The traffic controller told the 32-year-old driver of a Subaru sedan to move his car forward, when he then sped up and rammed into the man at the Thompson Road site in Cranbourne about 5.30pm, according to police.
The car then continued forward, causing a domino effect of crashes after slamming into the back of a Ford, which then smashed into a Nissan, which crashed into another Ford.

Police said the driver then spun around and crashed into a Toyota in an adjacent lane.
The injured traffic controller, a 22-year-old from Mooroolbark, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm and other injuries.
Police said the driver from Lysterfield South underwent a preliminary breath test, before attending a police station where officers said he returned an evidentiary breath test result of 0.076.
Investigators are awaiting the results of a blood test after the man allegedly returned a positive oral fluid test for drugs.
The man is expected to be charged at a later date with numerous traffic offences.
