Tradie takes himself out along with platform supporting him

A dopey tradie in Russia was the architect of his own downfall when he jackhammered away the platform he was standing on.

The construction worker was filmed standing on a plank of wood in an effort to take out a piece of floor under his feet.

The worker then decides he can chip away at the platform more easily if he stands on top of it.

Moments after the tradie takes a foot off the plank he liberates the slab of concrete from the wall, sending it tumbling down to the floor below along with his flailing body.

It is unclear if the man was seriously hurt in the fall.
