'Unemployed' Top Gear presenter James May learns recorder

He may not have a job to return to after Jeremy Clarkson's sacking, but that hasn't stopped Top Gear co-host James May from making the most of his forced "unemployment".

May, 52, has been keeping fans entertained during the BBC show's indefinite hiatus through a YouTube account titled "JM's unemployment tube".

The British television personality's latest offering shows him playing the song 'Greensleeves' on a recorder with, by his own admission, a hangover.

Pulling faces throughout, a glum looking May ends the minute-long rendition seemingly lost in thought.

He has also posted a number of tweets using the hashtag #unemployed, keeping his 2.13 million followers up to date about woodwork tasks among other extra circular activities.

The BBC pulled the pin on the popular motorsports show last week following Clarkson's alleged "fracas" with a producer in a North Yorkshire hotel.

Police are investigating the incident despite the alleged victim indicating that he does not want any charges laid against Clarkson.
