Childcare fees are top of mind for many Australian families.
New research from money transfer service Remitly has revealed how much childcare costs are expected to rise by 2035.
The 2025 Global Family Inflation Index also details the difference in childcare costs over a decade between 2012 and 2022.

Canadians are expected to pay $10,370 for childcare by 2035.
The cost of childcare increased by 5 per cent over a 10-year period.

Families in Ireland can expect to pay $9108 in childcare costs by 2035.

Number seven: Hungary
Parents in Hungary can expect to pay $1738 for childcare by 2035.

The cost of childcare climbed by 37 per cent over the course of a decade in Estonia.
Childcare fees are expected to be $1753 by 2035.
Number five: Denmark
The cost of childcare increased by 51 per cent over a period of 10 years in Denmark.
Families are expected to shell out $8834 for childcare by 2035.
Number four: Spain
Spain's childcare costs increased by 61 per cent over a decade.
Parents in the southern European country can expect to pay $4809 by 2035.
Number three: France
France's childcare costs increased by 68 per cent over a period of 10 years.
The country's estimated childcare cost is tipped to be $9355 by 2035.
Number two: Greece
Greece suffered a sharp rise in childcare costs over a period of 10 years.
Costs have gone up 75 per cent, with estimated childcare costs predicted to be $3340 by 2035.
Number one: Australia
Australia has experienced a huge 112 per cent increase since 2012.
Costs are projected to be $23,561 by 2035.
