Toddler pulled unconscious from spa

A toddler is recovering in hospital after being pulled unconscious from a backyard spa in the state's Hunter region.
Police said emergency services were called to a house at Thornton on reports an 18-month-old boy had been pulled unconscious from the spa.
Family members commenced CPR on the child, before ambulance paramedics arrived at the scene.

Paramedics managed to resuscitate the toddler and he was taken to John Hunter hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police aren't treating the incident as suspicious.
