Toddler locked in hot car rescued by firefighters in Sydney's south
A toddler has been rescued by firefighters after being locked in a hot car in Sydney's south.
Firefighters were called to Cooper Street, Engadine, just after 1pm today after a two-year-old girl was found locked in a hot car.
Crews quickly accessed the vehicle and retrieved the toddler.

Paramedics assessed the girl for heat and stress-related symptoms.
Fire and Rescue NSW Acting Superintendent Tim Hassiotis warned this incident is a reminder not to leave children or pets alone in cars.
"Even on a mild day, temperatures inside vehicles can reach dangerous, life-threatening levels very quickly," he said.

It comes after the NRMA issued a timely reminder last week not to leave kids or pets locked in cars.
In the last 12 months, NRMA Roadside assistance has rescued more than 1400 children or pets stuck in cars across NSW.
