Toddler drowns in water tank during game of hide and seek in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley

A two-year-old toddler has drowned in a water tank on a private property at Helidon Spa, around 100km west of Brisbane.

It is believed the toddler had wandered away from his grandparents during a game of hide and seek, when he fell into the tank.

Emergency services were called to the property just after midday and commenced CPR, but were unable to revive the child.

Police spent the afternoon at the Twisdale Road property. Investigations continue.
