Father bravely chases dingo away after toddler bitten on K'gari
A father has chased away a dingo after his two-year-old son was bitten on K'gari.
The family were at a carpark about to leave Lake McKenzie when the father spotted a dingo on the right-hand side of their car at 2.45pm yesterday.
"He told his family to get into the left-hand side of the car, and the dingo walked to the other side of the road before running to the front of the car," Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service said.

"The dingo bit the boy on his right thigh before being chased away by the father."
The toddler suffered two bite wounds to his thigh, which were treated.
The family drove to Eurong and reported the attack to rangers before heading to Kingfisher Resort for further treatment.

Parks and wildlife rangers are patrolling the area and attempting to identify the untagged female dingo.
In the meantime, visitors and residents are urged to remain vigilant at all times by keeping children at arm's length, never walking alone and carrying a stick at all times.
