Zac Efron to star in Stan original movie filmed in Australia
The reason Hollywood heart-throb Zac Efron has made Australia his home has been revealed.
The actor will star in an original Stan production filmed on Australian shores.
Rumours have been swirling as to why Efron has appeared to settle in Byron Bay after he was snapped with new girlfriend local model and waitress, Vanessa Valladares.
In early July, the actor was finally spotted in the NSW hotspot after weeks of speculation he had been living there. More recently he was rumoured to have relocated to Bondi Beach in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Today entertainment presenter Brooke Boney made the announcement this morning.
"For months Zac Efron has made Australia his home," she said.
"Now he's getting to work."
Gold will start filming in South Australia this month and will premiere on Stan in 2021.

Set against the backdrop of the Australian outback, Gold is a thriller about greed and the lengths people will go to secure themselves a fortune. When two drifters travelling through the outback stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found, the dream of immense wealth takes hold.
Things get tense from there.
AACTA Award-winning actor and filmmaker Anthony Hayes (Animal Kingdom, The Light Between Oceans, War Machine) will direct and co-star star alongside award-winning actress Susie Porter (Ladies in Black, The Second). The film we be based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Polly Smyth.
