Today reporter Sarah Stewart found out razors should be disposed of often.

When it comes to beauty and grooming, Stewart found out disposable razors should be thrown out after every three uses.

Hairbrushes should be cleaned weekly and replaced yearly.

Rachael Hallett of Mums Who, a cleaning and organisation group, said when it comes to toothbrushes they should be swapped out every couple of months.

"Most dentists will recommend a toothbrush for three months," she said, adding you can use toothbrushes for cleaning grout and disinfecting hard to reach areas like taps.

Moving to the kitchen, Stewart found chopping boards should be replaced yearly.
