Snakes are infiltrating Queensland's sewers
Queensland sewers are being inundated with snakes, thanks to recent wet weather.
Catchers have retrieved five snakes in Brisbane and Ipswich in two weeks, including three eastern venomous brown snakes that were removed from East Ipswich, and Oxley Creek.

In disturbing footage, a snake catcher can be seen removing the deadly reptiles, who are barely visible in the grime.

Authorities have warned the public and sewer workers to remain vigilant as the wet weather is expected to continue.
A major 48-hour rain event is predicted to drench multiple states.
Ex-tropical cyclone Esther will produce widespread showers, rain and thunderstorms, with heavy falls over south west Queensland from early Wednesday morning.
A number of places across Queensland have been issued with flood warnings.
