Karl's co-host takes a dig at his 'undignified' fashion choice

Sixty Minutes reporter Sarah Abo has taken a cheeky dig at Karl's fashion sense while filling in at the Today desk.

Sarah has replaced Ally Langdon temporarily while she recovers from knee surgery and has let Karl know she is not to be messed with.

After this morning's segment where Karl chatted exclusively with Australian Open doubles champion, Nick Kyrgios, Sarah pointed out some of Karl's fashion choices during the piece.

"Karlos, that was beautiful," she started by complimenting Karl on the story.

But Sarah couldn't help but notice the bright socks Karl chose to wear in the package.

"There's a few fashion tips in there as well, the socks, were you stomping around in some tomatoes beforehand?" she asked.

But Karl let Sarah know that "some of us have sponsorships". Today

"Well some of us have sponsorships Sarah, I don't know what you have," Karl retorted with a cheeky grin.

Despite the shocked look on her face, Sarah wasn't having any of that and simply replied: "I have my dignity".

But the infighting was all in good humour with Karl commending Sarah on her quick wit.

"I'd rather have a free racquet than dignity," he jokingly replied.
