Less than two weeks after his father was officially crowned King, Prince William is already planning what his own Coronation will look like.

Daily Mirror Royal Editor, Russell Myers told Today it is just tentative, but the Prince of Wales is looking at how he can improve on how his father's Coronation for when his time comes to be crowned king.

"We are barely just over this Coronation and of course we wish Charles lots of health and happiness for the future, but I think William is reflecting on what sort of event it was," Myers said.

"It was still a fairly long ceremony at two hours and there is a lot of talk about it being inclusive and diverse, but I think William wants his to look and feel different, and I wonder what that means.

"It is a 1000-year-old ceremony, but I suppose when it comes to his time, the world will look different and he wants to make it more modern. But how you do that with such a ceremony like that, I don't know."

Still on the subject of King Charles III's Coronation, behind-the-scenes footage has been released of William and his family preparing for the historic event.

Myers said this goes hand-in-hand with the younger royals efforts to appeal to the heavily social media-influenced generation of today.

"Look at William and Kate, they will be the fresh face of the Monarchy," he said.

"They have put a lot on their shoulders because there is no Harry and Meghan with the slimmed down Monarchy, which is looking slimmer by the day, so they have to appeal to the TikTok generation, don't they?"
