Man's mission to reunite Aussie family with lost holiday footage from the '70s
A Queensland man is launching a mission to reunite a family with their lost roadtrip footage.
Scot McPhie found the video in an op-shop 20 years ago.
Titled Sydney to Noosa long service leave trip the grainy video paints a nostalgic portrait of the 70s.
Kids with tasselled bikes are seen riding down jacaranda-lined streets. A man and young boy proudly show off a boogie board, while a woman in a red and white bikini smiles at the camera as the sun beats down.

Mr McPhie, a film enthusiast has pieced together what he can from the vision.
"They look like they were in their 50s when they did it. They may not be with us anymore but it would be great to reunite it with descendants," he told Today.

"You do get a good look at the man and the woman. Also their car. HQ Monaro. You see the numberplate — AGT784.
"Hopefully someone might recognise their faces. I'm more than happy to hand the film over."
Scot McPhie found the video in an op-shop. The family in the video stop at tourist destinations like The old jail from South West Rocks, Coffs Harbour and the Big Pineapple in their travels. Today
If no one comes forward Mr McPhie said he'd give the film to the National Film and Sound Archive so the snapshot of times gone by lives on.
