One Nation's Barnaby Joyce joins call for snap election

One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce has joined the Coalition in calling for a snap federal election over Labor's tax reform.

"I don't know whether that's a smart thing for the Coalition to do right now, I really don't, but One Nation would certainly take an early election if there's one on offer," he told Today.

It follows Nationals Leader Matt Canavan making the call yesterday, hours after Labor broke an election promise to introduce changes to the capital gains tax and negative gearing to parliament.
