Dickie stays mum on reports of Kidman-Urban split

The celebrity world is in shock with news Hollywood power couple, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, have ended their relationship.

The pair celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June, but US media outlets reported they have been living seperately since June.

Nine entertainment editor, Richard Wilkins is a long-time friend of the couple, and he had the following to say about speculation around their relationship.

"Look, I've known Keith and Nicole for 40 years, I was emceeing the G'day USA event where they met all those years ago and have become increasingly close to the couple in recent times," Dickie said.

"They're both very treasured friends of mine and I love them both very dearly, so I have nothing to add to this story.

"They've never commented on any of my circumstances over the years and I'm not going to comment on theirs."

The news was initially reported by US media outlet People, with an anonymous source saying Kidman had fought to "save" the relationship.

They have two daughters together, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.
