Karl Stefanovic may be 51, but he is proving he is just as nimble as ever, attempting a challenging dance move this morning.

The Today host wagered he could successfully perform the worm and with plenty of encouragement from his co-hosts... how could he fail.

"Maybe we should have done this after, you actually look like you might be having a fit - are you okay?" a concerned Sarah Abo asked.

Karlos refused to back down as he rocked and rolled across the studio floor, with the cameraman even capturing his microhpone battery pack come flying off and hit him in the back of the head.

"You didn't knock yourself out, did you? Oh, goodness," Sarah said.

But Karlos said "I will always have a crack" even if he thinks his worm days might be over.

"Some things you just get too old for... like the worm."
