Karl Stefanovic swaps breakfast TV for life on the farm
Farming families are the backbone of Australia, putting resilience, passion and a lot of hard work into everything they do.
So when Karl Stefanovic was invited to his brother Tom's almond farm in the NSW Riverina region, he decided to see if he had a future living life on the land if breakfast TV doesn't work out.
Mandolé Orchard is a family-run establishment in Griffith, started by Tom's in-laws, Denis and Tootie Dinicola.

And when Karl rocked up in his trendy city gear and unscuffed RM Williams for a day of hard work, he was quickly put in his place.
"Where've you been, mate? You're late and what the hell are you wearing," Tom asked his brother.
Karl was quickly given the correct uniform and put to work out in the field.
He had a go shaking almonds from the trees and packaging the cartons of almond milk the farm makes, using a traditional family recipe from the produce.
"It's obviously a very successful morning out here on the farm for me," Karl said.
