Karl reminisces about his figure skating days
Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean are arguably the greatest figure skating duo in history and next year, the pair celebrate five decades of competing together.
The Olympic gold medallists are bringing their Our Last Dance tour to Australia and Karl Stefanovic had the opportunity to sit down with them to chat about their skills on the ice and even reminisce about his time under their skilled tutelage.
Longtime fans of Today might remember Karl was runner-up on Nine's reality competition, Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice, back in 2006.

"I had the opportunity to work with you guys and it was one of the greatest honours in my career," Karl said.
Torvill and Dean had already been performing together for a decade when their performance of Bolero at the 1984 Winter Olympics immortalised them as ice skating royalty.
The pair received the highest score of all time, and the event became the second-most-watched television event in UK history.
The performance was so iconic, Karl attempted it with his professional partner Linda Aubrecht during his time on Torvill and Dean's Dancing on Ice.

"I remember looking at you and that was the most serious you'd ever been," Dean told the Today host.
"We were blown away, very impressed."
Torvill and Dean: Our Last Dance will be touring Australia in June 2025 with tickets on sale from this Thursday.
