Karl Stefanovic creates 'vegan pie' for David Campbell
Today host Karl Stefanovic has tried his hand at cooking, creating a "vegan" pie for Today Extra's David Campbell.
On Tuesday, the pair were discussing Four'N'Twenty's new plant-based pie – something Campbell, a proud vegan, welcomes with open arms – alongside co-hosts Ally Langdon and Belinda Russell.
As a selection of meat pies sat on the table in front of them, Stefanovic decided to get creative.
He grabbed a green juice sitting next to the pies, lifted the top pastry of one which already had most of the meat removed and poured the juice inside the pie.

"There you go DC, happy Christmas," Stefanovic proclaimed.
To which Campbell responded: "I tell you what, this is very considerate. I think he's right. I should definitely try this. There is no traces of meat in this, is there?"
"Maybe small traces," Stefanovic cheekily responded.
As Langdon and Russell watched in horror as Campbell raised the pie to his mouth, the green juice rushed out covering his hands and creating quite the scene.

"Is that going to happen at the footy? Oh god, it looks like I vomited," announced Campbell.
We'd hope Stefanovic's failure of a creation is no comparison to Four'N'Twenties' first vegetarian option, which will be available at supermarkets, service stations and football grounds next month.
Consisting primarily of soy protein, the meat-free pie will use the same pastry and seasoning as the original meat version.
It should be noted the product isn't vegan due to other products made on the production line. Supplied
However, the pie has been met with criticism with some people decrying the vegetarian option as "un-Australian."
In a Today Facebook poll 69 per cent of respondents said they would not try the pie.
