Beware the 'drop bear'

Australia has plenty of dangerous animals - crocodiles, snakes, spiders and, erm, drop bears?

The mythical 'drop bear' has long been used to wind up travellers to Australia – and one British journalist fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Looking back, ITV journalist Debi Edward, who is in Australia to cover the bushfire crisis, admitted: "There were several points looking back obviously where I thought that's maybe not quite right. But, you know, [they said] you should really try this, this is one thing we only do for our special visitors. Put on all this gear. It was at the point where they  said, "I'm going to get the dart again." And I was like, oh."
