Chicken salt thieves targeting popular fish and chip shop

A popular fish and chip shop on the NSW Central Coast is cracking down on customers who keep stealing its homemade chicken salt.
In fact it happens so often, Kim Vella, of Anthony's Seafood and Burgers, is naming and shaming the dodgy individuals, posting security footage on social media of the latest to try and identify them.
"I'd say maybe between 10 and 20 times it's happened," Kim told Today.

"But we've also had a cockatoo steal our chicken salt... we caught it on camera - it was playing with the plain salt, then dropped that and went straight for the chicken salt and flew away with it."
Kim's recipe is clearly very popular, with the small business owner even resorting to putting signage up warning customers against stealing the shakers.
"I think it's more the fish and chips that we do... the chicken salt just compliments it perfectly," she said.

"We do all sorts of fish and we probably have the best chips on the coast."
Kim said the chicken salt is available for customers to buy if they really want some for their home cooking and she will continue to provide the shakers on the tables for those eating in.
But if people keep stealing from her, the next one to be caught will be broadcast on live TV, she warned.
