What's happening in entertainment news today

It was a big night in Sydney as the purple carpet was rolled out for Oscar winner Renée Zellweger and her co-stars for the Australian premiere of the new Bridget Jones movie.
Fans turned out in force for a glimpse of Leo Woodall, Sally Phillips, Chiwetel Ejiofor... and Zellweger who these days is Mad About the Boy.
"I think it's a bit of a departure from the other films," Zellweger told Today.

"I think it's appropriate that it explores I guess, some of the more challenging things that life throws your way, so it authentically represents the experiences of a person in this stage of life, which Bridget is in when we catch up with her this time."
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy is in cinemas this Thursday and you can check the trailer out in the video above.
Meantime, on the subcontinent - our buddy Ed Sheeran continues to dazzle with his wonderful talent and incredible enthusiasm as he took to the streets for a little busking between shows.
However, there were unexpected consequences when law enforcement officials shut down his street performance, not seeming to care who or how famous Sheeran was.
He plays Shillong, India on Wednesday and you can watch the official shut him down in the video above.
