Mother of missing toddler breaks silence after he's found in bush

After a sleepless three nights the mother of a lost three-year-old who was found in the bush, "could not be happier" now her boy is home.

Anthony "AJ" Elfalak was discovered in a creek drinking water around noon yesterday after going missing from his Putty home in the New South Wales Hunter Region on Friday.

Remarkably, the toddler only suffered a few bruises, bites and rashes so he was discharged from hospital yesterday.

Speaking to Today, Kelly Elfalak said she's happy her boy got to spend the night back home in his bed.

"He is nice and warm. He's perfect, he's happy, he's healthy, he is sleeping. I cannot be happier right now," Ms Elfalak said.

"I didn't have sleep or eat or have anything to drink, I couldn't. I had to find my baby.

"I found him and I'm happy now, I'm relieved. I could sleep now."

The NSW mother said AJ seemed at peace with things before he dropped off into sleep.

"I just said, 'AJ' and he looked at me and smiled," she said, adding he slept through the night.

"He held me tight and he slept.

"He's doing really well."

Ms Elfalak thanked "everyone around the world" who sent the family support during the search, as well as the first responders who helped find the toddler.

"I'm happy and I'd just like to thank the police, the RFS, the SES, all the community, everyone that thought of AJ and prayed for him and my family for him to return safely.

"I want to thank everybody around the world

"He's home, I'm happy, we're blessed, thank you.

"It is time to celebrate now."
