Girl, 15, filmed leading police on 'dramatic pursuit'

CCTV has captured a stolen ute allegedly being driven by a 15-year-old girl during a dramatic pursuit in Adelaide overnight.

Police said they were called to a government facility in Queenstown just after 9pm.

It’s alleged three teenage girls attacked a carer and stole the keys to his a white Toyota Hilux ute.

Moments later one girl was allegedly filmed making off in the ute, crashing into a police car and another parked car.

The two girls left behind were arrested at the scene, with one lashing out at a local.

“(She) came running towards me, trying to obviously start a fight,” Chelsea Webb told 9NEWS.

“She tried to throw punches at me.”

The driver involved in the chase continued to West Croydon, where the ute was found crashed into a power pole on Rosetta Street.

The 15-year-old alleged driver was arrested by police at the scene.

She was charged with a series of offences including aggravated assault, driving to evade police and endangering life.

The other two girls, aged 14 and 15, accused of assault and breaching bail.

All three have been remanded in custody.

Queenstown locals told 9NEWS there's often trouble surrounding the government-run home the girls were living at.

“I wasn't surprised… because they're out of control,” Kirsty Edwards said.

Fellow resident Elle Simmons said she’s had “doors kicked in, windows smashed and doors graffitied.”
